You Have Arrived
Welcome to the Franke at Seaside Independent Living Burges Dining Website and information guide. Having completed an extensive renovation in April 2020 adding not only much needed space but a fresh updated look to all areas in the Burges Center. Nearly one year later management and staff gear up to reopen the new dining venues. Franke at Seaside is still adhering to strict local and state guidelines as it pertains to Covid-19 restrictions but with lower local spread and nearly 99% of the Franke residents vaccinated we feel that dining services can safely start to open while we adherer to local precautions.
The recent renovation added two new dining room venues adding some dramatic changes to the former dining areas. Please enjoy the following virtual tour.
The Courtyard Market
There has been much interest and anticipation leading up to the new Courtyard Market. Whether it be a quick sandwich and refreshment on the go or to enjoy in the new lounge area or selecting fresh prepared items for dinner at home, the new market now offers our community a daily changing variety of food items.
With expanse views of the courtyard the bright and inviting Burges Lounge will quickly become the new social hub, offering a relaxed environment where residents may enjoy coffee and the morning newspaper, catching up on local news, sports and special interest shows on four centrally located televisions and of course enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine before dinner. The Lounge menu will offer a selection of casual bites to enjoy as a prelude to dinner or as a meal itself. The Lounge offers three distinct seating areas. Two high tables with stools just inside the back door from the courtyard, four tables towards the back of the room and plenty of casual sofa and armchair seating just in front of the new service bar offering beer, wine and cocktail selections.
We anticipate a full service bartender in the lounge from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm Monday- Saturday
Many names have been given to this casual dining and bar area but the original name “Bistro” as well as “Café” always seems to stick. Offering ten full service bar stools and casual table seating, The Café will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well host special functions throughout the year. New elegant and comfortable swivel bar stools and a Charleston inspired gate wall art feature are just a couple of enhancements the renovation brought to this long favored venue for relaxed dining.
The Sunnyside Café
Located just behind the Café, the Café extension is another great space for casual dining lunch and dinner in a beautiful sun drenched bright atmosphere. Both rooms offer full breakfast, lunch and dinner service with the same great food and service you have come to expect.
The Burges Dining Room
Nestled beside the Café extension, the Burges Dining Room offers a stylish modern atmosphere for residents and guests to enjoy a more upscale ambiance. Our Full dinner menu is available Monday through Saturday.
The Mappus Private Dining Room
The Mappus Dining Room will remain closed to parties over 4 while still offering a quiet secluded dining option for residents.
